Recently we had the pleasure of lending our Party Belle hand to help celebrate the imminent birth of baby Madeline. An intimate brunch, we were asked for something preppy and upscale, not too “cutesy” or girly, but still really fun and welcoming.
Here’s a before shot as we were starting to load in on the soon to be buffet table!

The big 6 foot tables were provided by Special Events of New England, as were all rentals for this shower.

And here’s the buffet table, set with linens, plates, napkin roll ups, and of course, tissue paper poms!

Hilary from Eat Cake! wowed us again with amazing cupcakes!

We were told Mom-to-be loved peanut butter and chocolate, so Eat Cake! came up with these decadent peanut butter cup, chocolate ganache delights!

And these so appropriately decorated vanilla cupcakes with lemon curd and raspberry frosting. So glittery and cute!

The flower arrangements were white hydrangeas with pink ranunculus, finished with a bright pink ribbon accent.

The flowers looked beautiful atop the pink and green linen we found to go on the guest tables.

And family and friends put together these cute cookie favors, monogrammed with the baby’s first initial!

As a sweet memento for both mom and baby, we came up with a fun guest book idea. You know the thumbprint guest books that are all the rage right now? Well we made our own little spin off that. Instead of a tree, or ballooons, the guests signed the middle of the flowers and “leaf”-ed their names. Now baby Madeline can have a super personalized piece of art in her room that holds a lot of memories for Mom as well!

Here’s a close up of a flower.

And right on schedule, food arrived! Granite State Catering Partners provided a fantastic feast including scallops wrapped in bacon, feta artichoke dip, caramelized apple stuffed french toast, and much more. We heard the food was amazing, and also loved that the staff took the time to carve little tomato roses!

And what brunch affair would be complete without a mimosa bar?

There were carafes of different juices to choose from, fresh strawberries, and of course, more poms!

But I saved my favorite detail for last. With the invitation a request was made for guests to bring a children’s book instead of a card. It asked guests to inscribe the book as they would the card. All the books were placed in the basket below to start “Baby’s 1st Library,” but the inscriptions also turn the books into really special memories that mom and baby can share.

And there you have it! We really enjoyed helping out for this special day. It was the first official baby shower since The Party Belle’s launch, and we think it was a huge success! We wish all the best to baby Madeline and her parents!!
